About Swan
We are here to give practitioners
their time back.
Swan is built by people who sat in clinics and watched brilliant practitioners spend half their day on paperwork instead of patients. That's the problem we're solving.
Our story
Built because we watched the problem every day.
The idea for Swan came from spending time in allied health clinics across British Columbia and Ontario. What we kept seeing was the same thing: highly trained, deeply skilled practitioners — physiotherapists, psychotherapists, occupational therapists — spending the first and last hour of every day doing administrative work that software should handle.
Jane App, the dominant Canadian platform, was built in a different era. It's a scheduling tool with billing bolted on. Its AI features are expensive add-ons. Its SMS is limited. Its notes are manual. None of that is the practitioner's fault — it's just what was available in 2012.
We are building from a different premise: what if the platform assumed AI from day one? What if real-time transcription, context-aware notes, and intelligent billing weren't features — they were the foundation?
That's Swan. AI-first practice management, built for Canadian allied health, designed with the input of real practitioners who told us exactly what they needed.
Mission
Give practitioners back 10 hours a week.
Our north star is simple: every practitioner using Swan should reclaim at least 10 hours of administrative time per week. Time they can spend with patients, with family, or just not burnt out.

AI Principles
How we think about AI in clinical settings.
Your PHI never trains our models.
Patient data is never used to train or fine-tune any AI model. Full stop. AI Scribe uses foundation models via secured API calls — your data goes in, output comes out, nothing is retained or logged.
Human review before every note is signed.
AI drafts are drafts. Swan never auto-signs a note. Every AI-generated document requires practitioner review and explicit sign-off. You remain the clinician of record.
Audit logs on every access.
Every time PHI is accessed, generated, or shared, Swan logs it with timestamp, user, and action. You can export a full audit trail at any time.
Canadian data, Canadian law.
All PHI is stored in AWS ca-central-1 (Montréal). Swan complies with PIPEDA and is actively pursuing PHIPA certification for Ontario practitioners.
